Sagittarius
First, what does Leo even mean? Sagittarius is the ninth zodiac sign, fire sign, mutable sign and masculine sign.
Sagittarius Rising aka Sagittarius Ascendant
The first house is all about you. You are the embodiment of Sagittarius. In terms of personality, you would be open- minded, liberal, adventurous, optimistic and permissive. You may be naturally drawn to higher knowledge, spirituality, philosophy and anything that allows you to expand your horizon. You would also love traveling and doing physical exercise. Outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, horse-riding, and zip-lining can be your thing.
Since Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter - the planet of wisdom, in this lifetime you would accumulate a wealth of wisdom by constantly learning and teaching. You would be a lifelong learner. Whether or not you are a professional teacher, your presence would often inspire others and motivate them to live a life more fully. Overall, your life tends to be easier and luckier than people with any other rising signs. It’s because you are more consciously aware of higher knowledge and have strong faith in life.
Sagittarius is the third fire sign, and it indicates the most advanced form of creative life force. Thus, the core essence of Sagittarius is allowing, inclusive, permissive and all- knowing. Having Sagittarius in the first sign does not necessarily show that you can accept and tolerate everything nor find answers for everything in life. However, you may be capable of internalizing lessons and seeing the big picture rather than being stuck in a rut. Because of your philosophical nature, you can find the meanings of life and grand purposes in small mundane things.
Accordingly, as you gain life experience, you may become wiser and knowledgeable in various fields. People would approach you to seek for advice. In addition to your inner wisdom, your allowing nature can make them feel heard and encouraged.
However, note that the way you express yourself would be colored by the planets if you have in the first house. For example, Saturn in the first house would show that you are still a vehicle of wisdom but need to put in consistent effort and develop self-discipline in order to make use of it. Mars in the first house would mean that you are a passionate mentor figure rather than a wise hermit in the woods. You would teach others through actions.
According to the ancient Greek myth, Sagittarius is symbolized by Centaurus – a half-man and half-horse figure with a bow and an arrow. It has both humane and animalistic qualities to it. If your Ascendant, aka the cusp of the first house, falls on the first 15 degrees of Sagittarius, you would be more of a philosophical humanitarian with a perpetual thirst for knowledge and mental exploration. You may have grand visions and be able to see big trends of any sort. Whether you have psychic abilities or not, you can forecast the future because you are naturally wired to see far and approach any subjects from a holistic perspective. However, when you are energetically out of alignment, you may come across as hypocritical and self-righteous, displaying know-it-all attitude and sainthood.
If your Ascendant is placed in the last 15 degrees of Sagittarius, you may come across as a bit wilder. Like a horse, you would be much more physically active, athletic, and unpredictable. You would have a strong desire for freedom. However, when you are energetically off- balanced, you may be like an untamable wild horse, neglecting daily responsibilities. You might prefer a gypsy lifestyle.
The first house also represents your physical appearance. Under the influence of Jupiter – the planet of expansion, you would tend to be taller and have a larger body shape than others. You may have beautiful hips and thighs and long legs. Like a horse, you can be fidgety sometimes. Also, later in life, you may tend to put on weight particularly around your hips and thighs. This is because of ever- expanding Jupiter. As you grow your consciousness through mental, emotional, physical and spiritual activities, your body would also reflect this expansion.
However, note that any planets in the first house, if you have, or Jupiter having any aspects from other planets would change your physical appearance. Remember that you always have a choice to maintain particular body shape. Perhaps, knowing that you can be vulnerable to gaining weight would help you take the right actions if you choose.
In your birth chart, Jupiter rules both the first and fourth houses. This means that you would be heavily invested in home, family, personal life and emotional foundation. Your family can help you find the meaning of life. They would significantly affect your entire life path, particularly on shaping your belief systems from early childhood. This can potentially create a codependent family relationship, so you would need to learn to set a healthy boundary with them.
Also, as Jupiter is a planet of luck, you would have easy access or serendipity around the property and real estate. Particularly, if Jupiter is well-positioned, you can make a fortune through property and family connections.
In short, your life path has to do with inspiring others and bringing progress to humanity in any way, shape or scale. Your insights can have positive influences on others. Your optimism and faith can help not only yourself but others find the meaning of life and live in accordance with the natural flow.
The position of your Jupiter can show which areas of life hold the key to improving your overall life, developing your character and how you can best express yourself.
